Your pet's health and well-being
It is essential that the animal is up-to-date on vaccinations, and its health record must be provided for the entire duration of the stay.
- Mandatory vaccines are the ones performed annually by your veterinarian: Typhus, Coryza, and Leukosis.
- I also request that the cat be protected from fleas. The treatment must be applied to the 3 days before arrival at the boarding house. I can also take care of it at the beginning of your stay for an additional fee (see rates)
- To comfortably furnish your cat's litter box, I'll take care of everything: the litter, the toys, blankets or others baskets and bowls. But you can always bring along a favorite item or a small blanket that smells like home and you (a sweater, for example), which will help reassure them even more, especially if this is their first time away from home.
- When you entrust your little darling to me, we will fill out an intake form together covering your contact information, your pet's information, an emergency contact person, your veterinarian's details, your cat's behavior, feeding habits, any health concerns to watch for, and any treatments to administer (regarding the latter, I prefer to be informed as early as possible to decide and/or verify feasibility, implications for a boarding stay, if the latter is recommended by the veterinarian, etc.).
- If there is any problem, I will contact your veterinarian first. If he or she is unable to come for any reason, we will then call on the veterinarian in charge of the boarding facility; in any case, your regular veterinarian will always be kept informed of any treatment provided. That way, he or she can follow up personally and provide you with any necessary explanations.
- Wondering how your cat is doing during their stay? You can always contact me for updates, whether by phone, text, email, or through an intermediary.
- If a quick phone call would put your mind at ease... The goal of the boarding facility is to ensure you can leave with complete peace of mind.
- If your cat is following a treatment (for example, against diabetes), no problem, I'll take care of administering it to him, on time, just like I do at your place. Nevertheless, in this case, I kindly ask you to clip his claws (just the sharp part is enough) to avoid certain risks for me, because never forget that I am not you, the cat will undoubtedly accept much less (at least at first) that I impose myself so strongly in his living space, in his intimacy...! My hands and arms thank you in advance! And always make sure to to inform myself in advance (from booking a stay or during a visit to my facilities) of a treatment to administer, of various problems to monitor.
