The Rabbit Pension
Information and reservations
Information.
The rabbit boarding house opened its doors on June 21, 2024.
It is composed of 6 kennels of 15 square meters. I wanted to offer the rabbits who come for boarding a large space so that they can thrive and also have a great vacation.
In my place, all the hutches are individual. Only rabbits that were already living together before coming to the boarding facility can go in the same hutch.
Your rabbit will therefore be free to roam in a 15-square-meter space designed entirely with its well-being in mind.
They are equipped with a variety of toys of different textures, as well as hiding spots and resting areas.
A digging box filled with 50% sand and 50% potting soil is also available for your rabbit to satisfy its natural urge to dig.
The rate includes food (unlimited hay, organic vegetables twice a day, pellets if necessary), bedding, and bottled water.
Two highly secure outdoor areas are available for those who would like their rabbits to have access to the outdoors. The outdoor area will be available to the rabbits on a rotating basis.Â
Reservation terms.
It is better book in advance because the boarding kennel fills up very, very quickly during the school holidays, for the long holiday weekends as well as June and September (sometimes several months in advance).
To make the reservation, you can do so by phone or mail or when you come to visit me, which I highly recommend.
The minimum stay is 3 paid days (note, 5 days minimum in high season: see below).
To make a reservation, the following procedure applies to all stays, and will suffer no exceptions, whether the rabbit has been here before or not:
Stays of less than 5 days : payment of the’the full cost of the stay (to my bank account, or in cash) within 3 calendar days, following the day of booking
Stays of 5 days or more payment of a 50 % down payment of the total price of the boarding, to my bank account or in cash, within 3 calendar days following the day of booking.
The balance must be paid within 10 days prior to the start of the stay or settled at the pension on the day of arrival (payment by cash or credit card).
Your reservation is only valid if you follow the procedure described above exactly as stated. If you do not, the reserved box may be given to another guest, and we will not be held liable for any resulting disputes. Thank you very much in advance for your understanding.
During peak season
Period: School holidays and from June through September
Stays must be at least 5 paid days long.Â
Since these periods are crucial for maintaining business, stays that are too short (which almost always fall on weekends) would result in the cabins remaining vacant for too long, thereby preventing longer stays. This is why we have a minimum 5-day stay requirement during our high season. Please keep this in mind at all times; thank you for your cooperation.
Deposit: Upon booking, please transfer 50% of the total cost of the stay (please include the rabbit’s name and the dates of the stay in the payment notes).
Payment: Upon the rabbit’s arrival at the boarding facility, in cash, by Bancontact card, or by bank transfer (at least 10 days before the rabbit arrives at my boarding facility).
For all cancellations, please give at least 3 weeks' notice; otherwise, the deposit will be due.
The price is always listed per day of occupancy. Please note that, on the one hand, any day that has begun is due, and on the other hand, all days that have been reserved are and remain due, even in the event of an early departure. Therefore, please always make sure to book the appropriate period. Thank you in advance for keeping this in mind and ensuring compliance.
Our recommendations for rabbits.
The pet's health record must be provided for the entire duration of the stay
- Mandatory vaccines are the ones performed annually by your veterinarian: Myxomatosis and VHD
- To make your rabbit's hutch comfortable, I'll take care of everything: the litter, the toys, blankets or others baskets and bowls. But you can always bring along a favorite item or a small blanket that smells like home and you (a sweater, for example), which will help reassure them even more, especially if this is their first time away from home.
- When you bring your little darling to me, we’ll fill out an intake form together that includes your contact information, your pet’s details, an emergency contact in case you’re unavailable, your regular veterinarian’s contact information, your rabbit’s behavior, feeding habits, any health issues to monitor, and whether any medication needs to be administered (regarding the latter, I prefer to be informed as soon as possible so I can decide and/or verify the feasibility, the implications for a boarding stay, if such a stay is recommended by the veterinarian, etc.)
- If there is any problem, I will contact your veterinarian first. If he or she is unable to come for any reason, we will then call on the veterinarian in charge of the boarding facility; in any case, your regular veterinarian will always be kept informed of any treatment provided. That way, he or she can follow up personally and provide you with any necessary explanations.
- Wondering how your rabbit is doing during its stay? You’re always welcome to contact me to check in—whether by phone, text, email, or through a third party.
- If a quick phone call would put your mind at ease... The goal of the boarding facility is to ensure you can leave with complete peace of mind.
- If your rabbit is on a treatment , No problem, I'll make sure to give it to him on time, just as we do at your place. Always inform me in advance (when booking a stay or during a visit to my facilities) regarding treatment to be administered or various issues to monitor
